VORACIOUS READERS

To cultivate a strong reading culture and recognise young readers, the school launched the Voracious Reader initiative for students in Grades I to V. As part of this programme, students were encouraged to read books during their designated language development periods. They had the option to select books from the school library or bring their own from home, allowing for greater choice and engagement.
Throughout the months of April and May, teachers closely monitored students’ reading behaviours, identifying those who consistently demonstrated curiosity, enthusiasm, and a genuine love for books.
These dedicated readers were celebrated during the class assembly and honoured with the prestigious Voracious Badge for their sustained reading efforts.
This initiative significantly enhanced students’ reading fluency and comprehension, while nurturing a lifelong passion for books and independent learning among our young learners.
