Nurturing Body Safety Awareness Among Young Learners

Empowering every child with the knowledge, confidence, and courage to stay safe.

On Wednesday, 22 July 2026, the students of Classes Nursery and KG participated in an interactive awareness session on ‘Safe and Unsafe Touch’, designed to promote body safety and personal well-being from an early age. The session began with an engaging skit presented by the class teachers, introducing the concept of safe and unsafe touch in a simple, sensitive, and age-appropriate manner. An informative animated video further reinforced the key messages, making the learning experience enjoyable and meaningful.

Using a teaching doll, the teachers explained body safety rules and sensitively introduced the concept of private body parts. The children were encouraged to respond confidently to uncomfortable situations by saying ‘No’, moving away, shouting for help, and immediately informing a trusted adult, such as a parent or teacher. The Child Helpline Number 1098 was also shared to familiarise them with an important source of support. To consolidate their understanding, the students completed a recap worksheet. The session effectively nurtured awareness, confidence, and self-protection skills, empowering the young learners to recognise unsafe situations and speak up without fear.
