Student Council

The Student Council is a dynamic and integral part of our school community, designed to develop leadership skills, promote student involvement, and encourage responsibility among students. It acts as a bridge between the student body and school administration, ensuring student voices are heard and represented.

The Council is structured to include both junior and senior representatives, allowing students from different grade levels to participate and grow as leaders. Council members are appointed through a performance based selection process, and play a key role in organising school events, promoting student welfare, and upholding the school’s values and discipline.

Through its House System, it instills the life philosophies of great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Rabindranath Tagore, and Swami Vivekananda. Each house embodies the values these visionaries stood for—truth and non-violence, curiosity and progress, creativity and harmony, and strength through knowledge. This system not only promotes healthy competition but also nurtures character, leadership, and a deep-rooted sense of purpose among students.

The Student Council is broadly structured as follows:

Apex Body- Senior and Junior Head Boy & Head Girl, Senior Vice Head Boy & Head Girl, Senior and Junior Sports Captain Boy & Girl, Senior Vice Sports Captain Boy & Girl

Main Council- Senior and Junior House Captains, Senior and Junior House Vice Captains, Senior and Junior House Prefects

Student Committees- Presidents, Secretaries, Senior and Junior Members

The Apex Body leads the Council and represents the school at official events. The Main Council supports house activities and inspires students through leadership. Student Committees—including the Editorial Board, Social Responsibility Council, Environment Council, Cultural Committee, Discipline Committee, Welfare Committee, Entrepreneurship Development Council, and Peer Educator Programme—manage and execute various school initiatives.

The Student Council enriches school life by organising events and instilling values of teamwork, accountability, and leadership among its members.
