Exploring Science Beyond the Classroom

Igniting Curiosity Through Hands-on Learning and Discovery

An educational visit to the National Science Centre, Delhi, located at Pragati Maidan, was organised by Salwan Public School on 28 July 2026 for 84 students, accompanied by four teachers. The visit aimed to promote experiential learning, nurture scientific temper, and help students explore science beyond the boundaries of textbooks. During the visit, students attended an engaging workshop on “Science as the Base of Life Functioning”, which highlighted the significance of science in everyday life.

The students explored fascinating galleries, including Our Science and Technology Heritage, Human Biology, and Energy, where interactive exhibits on robotics, space exploration, and simple machines transformed complex scientific concepts into enjoyable learning experiences. The 3D Science Show and Science Demonstration Show were among the major attractions, illustrating practical applications of science in an engaging manner.

The visit enriched students’ understanding of physics, biology, and technology, while fostering curiosity, critical thinking, collaboration, and an appreciation for the role of science in daily life. It proved to be an inspiring educational experience that encouraged students to learn by observing, experimenting, and discovering.
