हिंदी भारत की राष्ट्रभाषा है। राष्ट्रभाषा किसी भी देश की पहचान और गौरव होती है। देश के आज़ाद होने के बाद 14 सितंबर 1949 को संविधान में हिंदी भाषा को राजभाषा के दर्ज़े से गौरवान्वित किया। इसी विषय को छात्रों तक पहुँचाने हेतु सलवान पब्लिक स्कूल द्वारा सितंबर माह में ‘हिंदी पखवाड़ा’ का आयोजन किया गया, जिसके अंतर्गत कक्षा तीसरी से दसवीं तक के छात्रों को हिंदी भाषा से संबद्ध ‘स्लोगन लेखन’ गतिविधि करवाई गई। इसके अतिरिक्त दिनांक 14 सितंबर 2023 को दिन का प्रारंभ विशेष प्रार्थना सभा के द्वारा हुआ जिसमें हिंदी विभागाध्यक्षा मीनाक्षी अरोड़ा द्वारा ‘हिंदी दिवस, हिंदी भाषा के महत्त्व एवं हिंदी भाषा के क्षेत्र में व्यवसायों की संभावनाओं’ पर प्रकाश डाला गया। प्रधानाचार्या जी द्वारा ‘हिंदी भाषा को व्याकरणिक दृष्टिकोण से समृद्ध बनाने’ हेतु छात्रों को कई महत्वपूर्ण बिंदुओं से अवगत कराया गया। इसके अतिरिक्त विद्यालय की विभिन्न कक्षाओं में हिंदी के प्रति प्रेम दर्शाते हुए विविध गतिविधियाँ कविता वाचन, क्विज़ आदि भी करवाई गईं। इस प्रकार हिंदी दिवस को विद्यालय में हर्षोल्लास एवं उत्साह के साथ उत्सव के रूप में मनाया गया। हिंदी विभाग
‘The Moral Values’
On 1 September 2023, the students of class III C conducted a class assembly centred around the theme ‘The Moral Values’. The assembly commenced with a soulful prayer, seeking the blessings of the divine. Following the prayer, Ramanshi shared the thought of the day. Agrima presented the news segment, offering students a glimpse into the broader world beyond the school campus. Subsequently, students demonstrated three incidents regarding moral values. In the assembly’s conclusion, Ms Sheetal our Headmistress shared words of wisdom and inspiration with the students, further enriching the assembly’s message. The assembly concluded on a patriotic note with the singing of the national anthem.
IIHM Teacher’s Day Awards
On the esteemed occasion of Teacher’s Day, the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) in association with the International Hospitality Council (IHC) London, New Delhi conferred the distinguished title of “Teacher Par Excellence” upon two exemplary educators at the IIHM Campus Badarpur, New Delhi on 16th September 2023 – Capt. Richa Sharma Katyal, the esteemed School Principal, and Mrs. Neelima Goyal, a dedicated TGT in Computer Science of Salwan Public School Mayur Vihar. Capt. Richa Sharma Katyal, with her visionary leadership and tireless commitment to holistic education, has steered the school towards excellence. Samanvay Sahodaya Best Teacher’s Award ceremony 2023
The Samanvay Sahodaya Best Teacher’s Award ceremony took place at ASN Senior Secondary School in Mayur Vihar, Phase-1 on 02 September 2023. This event recognized the outstanding efforts of twenty-three teachers from different schools in East Delhi, who were honoured with the prestigious title of ‘ The Best Teacher.’ Among these distinguished educators, Ms. Ahanthem Romita Devi of SPSMV proudly represented her institution as one of the twenty-three recipients of this esteemed award.
Motivational Talk on The Power of Perseverance in the Legal Field
Resource persons: Ms. Arshia Katyal and Mr. Karandeep Singh Ms. Arshia Katyal has been a qualified Advocate in India since July 2019. She is a Future Trainee Solicitor (2025) at Eversheds Sutherland, Cambridge, United Kingdom. Mr. Karandeep Singh has been a qualified Advocate in India since July 2019. He has completed his graduation from King’s College London, Dickson Poon School of Law. The facilitators spoke about their incredible journey of being a lawyer. They also shared with the students what motivated them to take this career path their journey ahead, the challenges faced and the satisfaction of achieving their goals. According to the resource persons: It is a profession that demands intellect, skill, and fortitude. It is not for the faint of heart but for those who embrace challenges and thrive under pressure. As lawyers, we have the power to make a difference in society, defending the innocent and prosecuting the guilty. They shared their practical experiences with the students and gave an insight on how Studying law not only equips us with a deep understanding of the law but also provides us with a wide range of transferable skills. We learn to analyse texts, solve complex problems, and present ourselves confidently. These skills, combined with our knowledge of the law and insight into society, make us highly employable and capable individuals. They asked the aspiring lawyers to Embrace the challenges that lie ahead. Surround yourself with like-minded peers who will push you to excel. Take advantage of every opportunity to engage with the law, whether it be through moot courts or legal debates and Studying law is not just about becoming a lawyer; it opens doors to a world of possibilities. They motivated the students and asked them to rise to the challenge, embrace the intensity, and become the best lawyers they could be. The interactive sessions and discussions were very enriching, with students putting up many stimulating questions and making the workshop interactive allowing participants to clarify their doubts and gain a deeper understanding of the legal profession. A token of gratitude was extended to the facilitators for conducting an informative and engaging workshop, and to all the participants for their active participation.

“Cleanliness is the first law of health” It is our foremost duty to keep our surroundings neat & clean. All the students are supposed to continue with good practices for hygiene and sanitation in school as well as at home. Hand washing with soap, use of mask & social distancing should be our priority.
GARVOTSAV- INTER SALWAN FIESTA
Salwan Education Trust has always laid great emphasis on the holistic development of students. With this vision in mind, an Inter Salwan Cultural Fiesta, GARVOTSAV, a vibrant celebration of art and creativity, was held on Tuesday, 29 August 2023. The Chairman’s speech was a key highlight of the event, delivering insightful thoughts and inspiring messages to the audience. The Chief Guest for the day was Ms. Shivani Varma, an esteemed Kathak dancer, choreographer, and curator. Also gracing the occasion was Smt. Mukul Jha, Director, Programmes, Salwan Education Trust. The event was also attended by the PTA members and parents of the participating students. Following the felicitation of the Chief Guest, the judges for various competitions were introduced. The day saw Ustaad Tanveer Ahmed Khan, a renowned table player and Dr. Saba Hashmi, a distinguished musician, as judges for music events. Ms. Jyotsana Banerjee, a disciple of Guru Munna Shukla from Lucknow Gharana and Ms. Nayanika Ghosh, an acclaimed Kathak dancer, were the esteemed judges for the enthralling dance events. Sh. Tirthankar Biswas, a highly renowned expert in Semi Realistic Art, and Sh. Surender Mishra an educator in Fine Arts, graced the art events as judges. The school Principal, Capt Richa Sharma Katyal (Retd.) expressed gratitude to all present on behalf of the SPS MV team. Her guidance and leadership had been instrumental in making this event a success. The overall winning trophy in the junior category was won by SPS Rajender Nagar. In the senior category, it was a tie, and the trophy was shared by SPS Rajender Nagar and SPS Mayur Vihar. Smt. Mukul Jha, Director Programmes SET, praised the performances of the students, and motivated them to take part in more such events in the future. Overall, the programme proved to be a fantastic platform for the children to let their creative selves dazzle with brilliance.
Hunar Mela
As part of pre-independence day celebrations, Salwan Public School, MV (under the aegis of Salwan Education Trust) in collaboration with ITRHD (Indian Trust for Rural Heritage and Development) organized a craft demonstration and exhibition of renowned craftspeople – The Weavers and Potters of Azamgarh, NAB India Centre for Blind Women & Disability and Madhubani & Gond artists on 01 August 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 03:00 p.m. in the school premises. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Meenu Walia, Medical Oncologist, Max Super Speciality Hospital. It was a dedicated initiative, a special gesture to support and empower the indigenous craftsmen, weavers and rural artisans and to keep India’s rich cultural heritage alive. On display were innumerable handwoven products right from terracotta lamps, pitchers, flower vases, pots, clay toys and other attractive accessories to hand-woven Benarsi saris, silk apparel and fabric material from Mubarakpur and beautiful black pottery with silver work from the Nizamabad area of Azamgarh district. It was a sheer delight to witness, the parents and students taking a tour through the one of its own kind. They gained a deeper understanding of the intricate techniques used in weaving, the significance of different patterns and designs, and the cultural importance of these textiles. It was an exhibition with a difference and with a learning about the traditional warp and weft of our rich weavers.
“Sanskrit Saptah”
Sanskrit week was organized in the school on 21 August 2023 and 22 August 2023. Various activities such as Sanskrit solo song singing, Sanskrit story reading and book mark activities were organized on 21 August 2023. Essay writing and mural painting activities were organized on 22 August 2023. Through the activities, Sanskrit reading, writing, listening and meditation skills were developed in the students. Also, their interest in the language awakened.
Rakhi Tying Event, SHO Office, Ghazipur
As an emotive gesture ahead of Raksha Bandhan, 15 girl students from classes IV and V, accompanied by Dhruv Sharma of class X-A ( to cover the event) and two teachers – Ms. Rani Sayal and Ms. Ritu Vaid – paid a visit to the office of the Station House Officer (SHO), Ghazipur on 25 August 2023. The purpose of the visit was to tie rakhis on the wrists of SHO Sh. Dhiraj Singh and his team of police personnel. This display of unity and camaraderie stood as a tribute to the unwavering commitment of the police force to the betterment of society and the nation as a whole. Through this experience, the young students imbibed valuable lessons in solidarity, respect, and the significance of acknowledging the efforts made by those who serve the community.
