BULLYING AND DISCIPLINE

During the House Meeting period conducted for Classes III to IX, students were shown an informative and thought-provoking video on the issue of bullying. The objective of the screening was to enhance awareness about the serious emotional and psychological impact bullying can have on individuals. Following the video, an open discussion was held where students were sensitised to the significance of treating their peers with kindness, empathy, and mutual respect.

Senior students were especially encouraged to share their views on this critical issue. They were urged not only to refrain from engaging in bullying themselves but also to act responsibly by reporting any such incidents to a trusted adult or authority figure. The session highlighted that silence in the face of bullying can make one complicit and that every student has a role to play in fostering a safe and inclusive school environment.

In addition to addressing bullying, the session also placed emphasis on the value of discipline, particularly in terms of punctuality and appropriate conduct in school. Students were made aware of the negative implications of habitual late coming and the importance of respecting school routines and expectations. They were guided to view self-discipline as an essential life skill that contributes to personal growth, responsibility, and respect for others.

The meeting concluded with a strong message: that discipline and empathy go hand in hand in building a positive and productive school culture. Students were motivated to internalise these values, not merely as rules to follow, but as principles that will help them become conscientious and considerate individuals in all walks of life.
