In a series of successful orientation sessions held across different classes on Saturday, 03 May 2025, Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar welcomed and engaged parents to provide them with essential information about the school’s academic framework, values, policies, and support systems designed to foster the holistic development of students.

The first of these sessions was for the parents of Class VI, conducted by Smt. Bhawna Puri, Vice Principal, SPSMV. The session, held in the Multipurpose Hall from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM, aimed to familiarise parents with key aspects of the school, including the academic curriculum, co-curricular opportunities, the school’s code of conduct, and the various support structures in place to ensure each child’s success. The session began with a warm and inspiring welcome address from Smt. Richa Sharma Katyal, Principal SPSMV, who set an encouraging tone for the academic year ahead. The discussion covered a range of important topics, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals. The session proved to be an engaging and interactive one, offering parents a meaningful exchange that strengthened the foundation of the parent-teacher partnership.

Following this, the Orientation Programme for Class I, warmly introduced new students and their parents into the school community. The Principal’s inspiring address emphasised the school’s commitment to creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for young learners. Smt. Sheetal Kapoor, Headmistress SPSMV then delivered a comprehensive presentation on the curriculum, the school’s innovative teaching methodologies, and its holistic approach to child development. Parents were briefed on essential school policies, communication channels, and safety protocols, followed by an interactive Q&A session that fostered a sense of trust and collaboration. The event successfully laid a strong, positive foundation for a successful academic year.

An additional orientation session was held for the parents of Class IX, conducted online via Zoom by the Vice Principal. The session, which ran from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, was designed to strengthen collaboration between the school and parents. It covered key areas such as the school’s vision and mission, examination policies, mandatory attendance requirements, and the student code of conduct. Parents were also updated on new initiatives, club activities, the school’s transport system, and the communication channels available to them. Information about various school committees dedicated to student welfare and the smooth functioning of the institution was also shared. Academic expectations were clearly outlined, and parents were encouraged to actively engage in their child’s educational journey. The session was well-received, with parents expressing appreciation for the school’s transparent, student-centred approach.

Together, these orientation sessions have been invaluable in fostering a strong partnership between the school and parents, ensuring that both parties are aligned in their commitment to the success and growth of each student. These events have provided parents with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to support their child’s academic and personal development throughout the year.
