AMBEDKAR JAYANTI

The Salwan Public School Mayur Vihar organized a weeklong celebration from 7th to 14th April 2025 to honor the life and legacy of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution.
The initiative aimed to engage students in understanding and appreciating Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of equality, democracy, and justice through active and meaningful participation.
A variety of activities were held across different grade levels, including special assemblies, quizzes, speeches, letter writing, drawing, skits, and collage-making, all centered around Dr. Ambedkar’s life, philosophy, and his pivotal role in shaping modern India. Unique competitions such as “Tree of Qualities” and “Constitution Corner” encouraged students to reflect on the core values essential for a strong democratic society.
Students wrote thoughtful letters to Dr. Ambedkar, expressing how his vision continues to inspire the youth today. Outstanding entries in poster-making, drawing, letter writing, and creative model-making were selected from each school and forwarded to their respective districts for recognition.
The weeklong celebration saw enthusiastic participation from students across all classes. The events were designed to be both informative and interactive, helping students understand Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals in a creative and meaningful way. This thoughtful initiative not only served as a tribute to Dr. Ambedkar but also aimed to instill his ideals in the younger generation through inclusive, educational, and value-driven engagement.
