Brighter Minds programme

The Brighter Minds team comprising Smt. Fouzia Ali Khan, PRT Mathematics, Smt. Neha Kohli, PRT Social Science and Ms. Manvi Shukla, TGT Social Science hosted an orientation programme from Monday, 28 April 2025 to Wednesday, 30 April 2025, for students in Classes III to VIII at Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar. This engaging series of sessions introduced students to the principles of Heartfulness, a practice designed to enhance academic performance while simultaneously nurturing vital life skills such as emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and resilience.
The students were shown original video clips that provided them with a deeper insight into the objectives of the Heartfulness programme, helping them understand its holistic approach to personal development. In addition to the videos, various activities were conducted to foster both mental and physical well-being. These included guided meditation sessions to promote inner peace and focus, as well as expressive dance exercises that encouraged creative expression and emotional release.
As part of the programme, students were encouraged to enrol in age-appropriate courses set to take place in May. For Classes III to V, there will be an in-house programme hosted within the school premises, while for students in Classes VI to VIII, a residential course in Shimla will be offered. Both programmes will be led by experienced facilitators from the Heartfulness team, who are committed to guiding students in their personal growth journey.
The orientation programme was met with enthusiasm, and students from all participating classes expressed a keen interest in joining the upcoming Heartfulness courses. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many students sharing their excitement about the potential benefits of these practices in their academic and personal lives. The successful orientation reflects the growing interest in holistic approaches to education that not only focus on academic achievements but also on the well-being and emotional development of students.
