Baisakhi Celebrations: A Joyful Bagless Day Experience

Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar celebrated Baisakhi with great enthusiasm on Saturday, 11 April 2026, as a Bagless Day for classes Nursery to V.

The day began with an interactive discussion and an animated video highlighting the significance of the festival as a harvest celebration of Punjab and its rich cultural heritage. Students across all classes came dressed in vibrant Punjabi attire and enjoyed dancing to the lively beats of the dhol, adding joy and energy to the celebration.

Nursery students explored their creativity through corn craft finger printing, while KG students made colourful kites. Classes I and II enjoyed activities such as pinwheel making and sun paper cutting. Classes III to V participated in engaging tasks including greeting card making, kite designing, creating Phulkari patterns, and a quiz based on the video.

The celebration was both enjoyable and educational, helping students appreciate Indian traditions while expressing their creativity.
