Celebrating the Timeless Legacy of Indian Classical Music

Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar hosted the DoE Zonal Vocal Music (Classical) Competition on Saturday, 18 July 2026, welcoming talented student vocalists from schools across the zone. The event celebrated the rich heritage of Indian classical music while providing a platform for young performers to showcase their musical talent, discipline, and artistic expression.

The participants presented soulful and well-rehearsed classical renditions, displaying remarkable command over sur, taal, and laya. Their confidence, dedication, and passion for music made the competition both inspiring and memorable. The event was judged by eminent music experts Ms. Alka Vikash, Ms. Meenakshi Bhargava, Ms. Kriti Wadhera, and Mr. Bhupender Malhotra, whose insightful observations and words of encouragement motivated the participants.
