Primary Achievers’ Day and Investiture Ceremony

‘In every achiever lies a dream fulfilled; in every leader, a dream taking flight’.
Primary Wing of Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, witnessed a momentous dual occasion on Friday, 11 July 2025 — the ‘Achievers’ Day and ‘Investiture Ceremony’. The event was a celebration of excellence and responsibility, honouring not only the commendable academic efforts of the students but also the new Student Council of the Primary Wing.
The event began with the ceremonial lighting of diyas by Capt Richa Sharma Katyal, Principal SPS MV and Maj Gen Ajay Khandpur, Director SPS MV accompanied by Smt. Bhawna Puri, Vice Principal, Smt. Sheetal Kapoor, Headmistress and parents, symbolising knowledge and enlightenment.
In her welcome address, the Principal, SPS MV, emphasised perseverance as pillars of lasting success. She congratulated the young council members and urged them to take on their responsibilities with commitment and integrity. She highlighted the need for parents to guide their children towards positive empowerment, grounded in civic responsibility.
A soulful musical rendition, ‘Dream it Possible’ by the school choir and a spirited dance performance on Rabindranath Tagore’s composition, “Amra Notun Jouboneri Doot,” added cultural vibrance to the occasion.
The Achievers’ Day ceremony honoured students of Classes III to V for their consistent academic performance in 2024–25. The top achievers of each class were felicitated for their dedication and discipline. A special mention was awarded to Yuven Garg of Class IV for his exceptional academic performance, recognising his resilience and commitment to learning.
The ceremony then transitioned into the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council. Council members, including the Head Boy, Head Girl, Sports Captain, House Captains, and Class Representatives, were conferred with badges and certificates by the school leadership.
The Oath was conducted by the Principal, SPS MV as the council pledged to uphold the school’s motto “Service Before Self” and serve with integrity and dedication. This was followed by a group photograph capturing the spirit of pride, promise, and leadership.
The Head Boy and Head Girl addressed the gathering with gratitude, promising to lead by example and uphold the trust placed in them. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Smt. Sheetal Kapoor, Headmistress.
