World Malaria Day

World Malaria Day was observed on 25th April 2025 in Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar in accordance with the directions received from Directorate of Education.
It aimed to raise awareness about malaria and highlight the importance of collective efforts in eradicating this life-threatening disease.
This year’s theme, “Malaria Ends With Us: Reinvest, Reimagine, Reignite”, inspired renewed commitment towards innovative strategies and increased investment in malaria prevention and control.
During the special assembly, all students, teachers, and staff were sensitized about malaria, its causes, symptoms, and preventive measures during the morning assembly. The significance of World Malaria Day and the 2025 theme was explained to all.
A special cleanliness campaign was conducted to remove scraps, stagnant water, and potential mosquito breeding sites within the school premises. Students were guided on how to identify and eliminate such sites.
A homebased assignment was also given to the all students in which they were assigned the task of inspecting their homes and surroundings for stagnant water and mosquito breeding grounds and taking preventive steps. Slogan Writing, and Quiz Competitions were organized across different classes. These activities witnessed enthusiastic participation and helped instil a sense of responsibility among students.
