Empowering students to make smart and healthy food choices
A workshop on ‘Nutrition and the Importance of Whole Grains’ was organised for the students of Class VII on Wednesday, 04 February 2026. The session was conducted by Dr. Anjali Tyagi, a distinguished nutrition expert, who sensitised the students to the significance of adopting a balanced diet for overall health and well-being.
During the session, Dr. Tyagi elaborated on the concept of balanced nutrition and highlighted the vital role of whole grains in maintaining energy levels, improving fitness, and preventing lifestyle-related diseases. She explained how whole grains contribute essential nutrients, fibre, and long-lasting energy, making them an indispensable part of daily meals.
The workshop was highly interactive and engaging. Dr. Tyagi posed thought-provoking questions to assess the students’ understanding and encourage active participation. The students responded enthusiastically, displaying keen interest, curiosity, and awareness of healthy eating habits.
The workshop successfully created awareness among students regarding the importance of whole grains and balanced nutrition. It inspired them to make informed food choices and adopt healthier eating practices in their daily lives.
