Transition from Teens to Puberty

A workshop on Transition from Teens to Puberty was organised on Saturday, 07 February 2026, for the students of Classes V and VI with the objective of creating awareness about adolescent health and wellbeing. The session aimed to clear common myths, promote healthy hygiene practices, and encourage open, informed, and respectful conversations around menstruation and overall adolescent development.
The workshop began with an introductory address highlighting the importance of menstrual hygiene and its relevance to the physical and emotional health of adolescents. Students were encouraged to participate actively and ask questions freely.
Ms. Arshyia was the resource person for the workshop. She is a passionate trainer associated with Global Hunt and has over four years of experience working closely with adolescents and communities.
During the session, Ms. Arshyia explained the biological aspects of puberty and menstruation in a simple and age-appropriate manner. She discussed correct hygiene practices, the importance of using safe sanitary products, maintaining cleanliness, proper disposal methods, and adopting a healthy lifestyle.
The objective was to sensitise students about the importance of personal cleanliness, healthy habits, and respect for their own bodies during adolescence.
The session highlighted:
- The significance of daily hygiene practices such as bathing, oral care, and wearing clean clothing.
- The importance of nutrition, exercise, and adequate rest for overall wellbeing.
- Awareness of bodily changes during adolescence and how to manage them responsibly.
- Respectful attitudes towards peers and the need to support a culture of dignity and understanding.
The boys were encouraged to ask questions openly, and the interactive discussion helped them gain confidence in addressing health-related concerns. The workshop reinforced that good hygiene and self-care are essential for physical health, emotional resilience, and positive social interactions.
Overall, the session was interactive and informative, helping students feel comfortable and confident while discussing a sensitive yet important topic.
