Teachers’ Day Celebrations

‘A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart forever.’
This timeless truth was beautifully reflected in the Teachers’ Day Celebrations held on Thursday, 04 September 2025, with enthusiasm and reverence in honour of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former President of India, an eminent teacher, and philosopher.
The programme began with a warm welcome by the student anchors, who explained the importance of the day as a tribute to teachers. The assembly began with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, seeking blessings for wisdom and knowledge. This was followed by an inspiring address by respected Principal Ma’am, whose motivating words highlighted the noble role of teachers in shaping young minds and building the foundation of society.
Building on this spirit, a series of cultural performances added charm to the celebrations. A melodious group song dedicated to teachers expressed gratitude through music, followed by a thought-provoking skit titled ‘Teachers as Facilitators in All Times’, which portrayed the strong bond between teachers and students. The sequence of performances concluded with a vibrant dance that paid tribute to teachers with respect and joy.
Carrying forward the theme of gratitude, the Head Boy and Head Girl delivered eloquent speeches on behalf of the student body, thanking teachers for guiding learners not only in academics but also in values and character-building. To add further delight, a Bagless Day was observed, allowing students to enjoy the celebrations in a relaxed and stress-free manner.
The celebrations continued with the teachers’ gathering, which commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by honourable Director Sir, Principal Ma’am, accompanied by the senior-most and junior-most teachers, symbolising knowledge and new beginnings. On this occasion, Principal Ma’am in her inspirational address motivated the gathering and strengthened the spirit of the event. She also shared the message of the Honourable Chairperson Sir, who urged all teachers to adopt one SMART goal and work towards achieving it, reinforcing the values of progress and commitment.
Adding a musical touch, a soulful performance by Smt. Reshma and Shri Manish Dua brought liveliness to the atmosphere. This was followed by a Vote of Thanks delivered by Smt, Indu Sikri, Teachers’ Representative, who expressed appreciation for the collective efforts that made the celebrations successful.
To create lasting memories, a unique gift exchange activity was organised, in which teachers selected names at random, shared qualities admired in their colleagues, and presented gifts along with good wishes. This thoughtful gesture filled the gathering with moments of joy, appreciation, and togetherness.
The celebrations drew to a close with a special lunch arranged for all staff members, giving everyone the opportunity to relax, share cheerful conversations, and end the day on a warm and memorable note.
