Safe and Unsafe Touch

Students of Classes Nursery and KG attended an engaging and informative session on ‘Safe and Unsafe Touch.’ The session began with a thoughtful skit presented by their teachers, helping children identify and understand different types of touch in a simple and relatable manner.

Following the skit, students watched an age-appropriate video that reinforced the key messages. To make the concept more tangible, teachers used a doll to explain body safety rules and private parts. Children were taught clear steps on how to respond if someone attempts to touch them inappropriately — by saying ‘No,’ pushing the person away, shouting, running to a safe place, and immediately informing a trusted adult such as a parent or teacher.

A catchy and easy to remember rhyme was introduced to help them recall these steps. The session concluded with sharing the Child Helpline Number – 1098, and children were encouraged to always speak up if they feel uncomfortable or unsafe. It was an interactive session that aimed to create awareness about body safety and empower young learners to protect themselves confidently.
