Project Dolphin

In support of the nationwide campaign under Project Dolphin, Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, organised a series of awareness activities for students of Classes IV to VIII, aimed at cultivating sensitivity towards aquatic biodiversity and encouraging conservation efforts.

The programme commenced with a Dolphin Conservation Pledge taken during the morning assembly. The pledge inspired students to recognise the ecological importance of dolphins and to commit themselves to safeguarding marine and riverine life.

An awareness video on dolphins was then screened in classrooms, offering insightful information about different dolphin species, their natural habitats, the threats posed by pollution and human activity, and the urgent need for their conservation. The video sparked meaningful discussions and reflections within the classroom.

To further deepen student engagement, a painting competition on the theme ‘Save the Dolphins’ was held. Pupils expressed their creativity and environmental concern through vibrant artwork, portraying dolphins as symbols of grace, intelligence, and ecological harmony. Ten of the most impactful entries have been shortlisted for submission.
