Pollution Awareness Rally – Promoting an Eco-Friendly Diwali

In the spirit of promoting responsible celebration and environmental consciousness, students of Classes IV and V took the lead in organising a Pollution Awareness Rally on Thursday, 16 October 2025. The event focused on encouraging an eco-friendly Diwali, spreading awareness about the negative impact of firecrackers on air quality, animals, and public health.

With unwavering enthusiasm, the young changemakers marched through the Primary Wing, proudly holding up vibrant posters and placards adorned with creative, thought-provoking slogans such as ‘Say No to Crackers, Yes to Joy and Laughter!’, ‘Light Clay Diyas, Not the Sky!’, and ‘Support Local Artisans, Spark a Greener Diwali!’.

As they moved through the classrooms and corridors, students raised slogans promoting clean air, green surroundings, and compassion towards all living beings. Their message was clear — a meaningful Diwali is one that celebrates light, joy, and community without harming the planet.

The rally also highlighted simple and impactful ways to celebrate sustainably, such as lighting traditional diyas, using natural decorations, planting saplings, and spreading happiness by sharing sweets, clothes, and gifts with those in need.

Teachers applauded the students’ efforts, praising their awareness and sense of responsibility. The event served as an inspiring reminder that even the youngest voices can make a big difference, encouraging the school community to celebrate Diwali in a way that is joyful, inclusive, and environmentally kind.
