Students of Classes XI and XII (Humanities stream) from Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, undertook an enriching educational visit to the Parliament of India. The objective of the trip was to offer students a firsthand understanding of the country’s legislative processes and the functioning of its democratic institutions.

During the guided tour, students explored the premises of the Parliament House and were introduced to its historical significance and architectural grandeur. They gained valuable insights into the functioning of both Houses—Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha—and observed the procedures involved in law-making, debates, and discussions.

An orientation session was also conducted, during which students were briefed on the structure, roles, and responsibilities of the legislative branches. The session highlighted the importance of informed civic participation and the role of responsible citizens in shaping national policies and governance.

The visit proved to be highly informative and thought-provoking, offering students a deeper appreciation of India’s democratic framework and inspiring a sense of political awareness and responsibility.
