Monash Innovation Guarantee Workshop

Two students of Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar — Ahana Salwan (Class XI-C) and Shamaila Danish (Class IX-A) — had the opportunity to attend the Monash Innovation Guarantee Workshop, held at K.R. Mangalam World School, G.K-II, from 27th to 29th August 2025. The three-day programme was jointly facilitated by Monash University and distinguished resource persons from academia and industry, providing students with a platform to nurture creativity, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills.
Day 1 Highlights
The inaugural ceremony was graced by eminent guests including Sh. Himanshu Gupta, IAS, Secretary, CBSE Delhi, and representatives from the Australian High Commission and Monash University. Sessions focused on human-centered design, empathy in innovation, and collaborative problem-solving. Students engaged in group activities that encouraged them to think innovatively about real-world challenges.
Day 2 Highlights
Day two began with an insightful session on innovation and problem-solving using Lean Canvas, led by Ms. Sarah Mander. Students then participated in a storyboarding masterclass by Canva India, learning to visually represent their ideas. Teams presented their storyboards, showcasing innovative solutions and creativity.
Day 3 Highlights
The final day featured a Pitching Masterclass by Mr. Samayesh, Co-Founder of Beanly, equipping participants with practical skills to communicate their ideas effectively. Teams then pitched their projects to a distinguished jury, followed by a felicitation ceremony attended by dignitaries including Nathaniel Webb, Dr. Bodean Hedwards, Ms. Anu Jain, and Dr. Manisha Priyal. The workshop concluded with the announcement of winning teams, celebrating innovation and collaboration.
