Law as Career

A workshop on ‘Law as a Career’, under the Parent Partnership Programme, was conducted in the Multi-Purpose Hall on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, for the students of Classes IX and XI. The objective of the workshop was to familiarise students with the legal profession, various branches of law, essential legal procedures, and entry pathways such as CLAT, while also encouraging interactive learning through case-based discussions.
The session was led by Mr. Dev Raj Singh from The Young Jurist firm, accompanied by his partner Ms. Snigdha. The resource persons explained the difference between a lawyer and an advocate, the structure of legal practice, and the importance of early preparation for competitive examinations. They also discussed real-life mini cases, including issues related to dog menace, enabling students to understand how lawyers analyse situations and represent different parties.
Students interacted enthusiastically, asked thoughtful questions, and actively engaged with the speakers. Overall, the workshop proved to be a fruitful and enriching learning experience, offering valuable guidance to students considering law as a future career.
