The National Exhibition of Art is the most prestigious annual event of the Lalit Kala Akademi. Begun in 1955, it aims to showcase and represent the visual advancements of the year. Over the years, the National Exhibition has evolved, keeping pace with developments and changes in the art world.

On 22 August 2025, a group of 45 students from the Painting & Sculpture department of Class XI had the opportunity to witness the 64th National Exhibition at the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi.

The exhibition features paintings, sculptures, installations, new media art, photography, and more. Students were inspired by observing the artworks, which offered a blend of traditional and post-modern aspects of art. They were also tasked with selecting their five favourite paintings and writing about the reasons they admired them. This activity proved to be a source of motivation for them. Art appreciation is key to becoming both an artist and an art enthusiast.
