Herbal Gardening Activity

The Herbal Garden of Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar buzzed with excitement on Wednesday, 20 August 2025, as the students of Class IV took part in a Herbal Gardening Activity.

The children observed the healthy growth of brinjal, tomato, chilli, and ladyfinger plants, and were overjoyed to discover fresh ladyfingers ready for harvest. To ensure better growth, they carefully transplanted earlier saplings into individual grow bags and sowed new seeds of spinach, chilli, brinjal, and tomato.

They also learnt composting techniques using dry leaves to create organic manure. The activity not only enriched their practical knowledge of gardening but also instilled environmental responsibility and a sense of joy in nurturing nature.
