Financial Literacy

Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, conducted an enriching training session on Financial Literacy on 29 July 2025 for students of Classes VIII and IX. The workshop was aimed at enhancing students’ financial awareness and equipping them with essential life skills.

The session was facilitated by Mr Vaibhav Sharma, an accomplished life coach and personality trainer, who shared practical insights on managing personal finances. The primary objective of the workshop was to educate students on the importance of responsible financial management.

Mr Sharma emphasised that financial literacy involves making informed decisions related to budgeting, saving, and investing—skills that are vital for achieving financial independence and long-term security. He also underscored the importance of establishing emergency funds, distinguishing between needs and wants, and managing debt responsibly.

The session concluded with a lively and engaging Q&A round, during which students asked thoughtful questions about financial planning and investment opportunities.

Overall, the workshop provided students with a strong foundation in financial literacy and inspired them to adopt sound financial habits from an early age.
