District level deliberations of S.T.E.M Education

On Saturday, 05 June 2025, the first District-Level Deliberations on STEM Education (DLDs) were held at Mount Abu Public School, Rohini, organised by CBSE in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence. Teachers Ms Ahanthem Romita Devi (TGT, Physics) and Mr Shubham Garg (TGT, Computer Science) represented Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, among 60 participants.
The workshop opened with a welcome address by Dr Jyoti Arora, Principal of the host school, highlighting the value of STEM in nurturing 21st-century skills. Eminent speakers included Mr Pankaj Kumar, Ms Vineeta Garg, and Dr Pratibha Kohli, who conducted thought-provoking sessions on topics like Make in India, inclusive STEM learning, and computational thinking.
Ms Ahanthem Romita presented a case paper on ‘STEM Innovations and Sustainable Practices’, showcasing the school’s initiatives such as AI integration, coding, student clubs, and the newly established STEM Lab.
The event concluded with insightful remarks from Shri Manoj Kumar Srivastava, advocating values-based, problem-solving education. A vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Arora, marking the event as a successful pilot initiative. The workshop offered an enriching platform to reflect, share, and advance STEM education in alignment with the NEP vision.
