Act Smart with E-Waste

A workshop on E-Waste Management was conducted on 20 February 2026 in the MPH (GF) of our school in collaboration with Namo E-Waste Organisation. The session was conducted by the resource persons, Shri Vivek Vishal and Ms. Prachi Bhatia, and was attended by Smt. Trapti Gupta, TGT Science, Smt. Ankita, TGT Hindi, Smt. Shalini Raheja, TGT Science and the students of Class VII. The workshop aimed to spread awareness about the hazards of electronic waste and the importance of its proper disposal.
The experts educated the students about the harmful impact of e-waste on the environment and explained how responsible recycling can help reduce pollution and conserve natural resources. They also highlighted the growing concern of improper disposal of electronic items and its long-term environmental consequences.
To promote practical action, an E-Waste Bin was installed on the school campus, enabling students to deposit old and non-functional electronic items such as chargers, batteries, and gadgets. The collected e-waste will be handed over to an authorised agency for safe and environmentally sound disposal.
The workshop proved to be an eye-opener, inspiring students to adopt sustainable habits and actively contribute towards a cleaner and greener environment. This initiative further strengthened the school’s commitment to eco-friendly waste management and responsible citizenship.
