At Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, the word “Library” symbolizes “moulding a life… showing the right path” for students and faculty to gain knowledge through the medium of books. We believe that the library is the heart of a school’s academic activities—a gateway to learning. The instructional programme of a school is tremendously influenced by the quality of its library, and the teaching-learning process would be lacklustre without a good library.
The core aim of the school library is to develop and strengthen the habit of reading and learning, which can be achieved only by creating a pleasurable reading culture from early childhood. Research has also shown that students who identify as readers are significantly happier, less stressed, more empathetic, and ultimately far better prepared to succeed in life.
