Exchange Programmes

At Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, we believe that international exchange programmes are integral to cultivating an ethos of empathy, acceptance, and global understanding. These enriching experiences provide our students with invaluable opportunities to broaden their horizons, engaging in collaborative learning with peers from diverse cultural and geographic backgrounds.

The philosophy of “Global Partnership” is deeply embedded in our educational vision. This seismic shift has ushered in new value systems, transforming the ways in which we think, live, and relate to others across the globe. At Salwan, we encourage our students to harmonise the wisdom of tradition with the innovation of modernity, thus preparing them to navigate the complexities of an ever-evolving global landscape with confidence and clarity.

We have established robust partnerships with globally renowned institutions such as The British Council, the Reggio Emilia Institute in Italy, and Cambridge University. These collaborations have been further enriched by cultural exchange programmes with countries including Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Dubai, the United Kingdom, Singapore, France, Germany, and West Africa.

Notably, our sports teams have had the honour of visiting Australia, representing the school in athletic exchanges that blend physical prowess with intercultural camaraderie. These engagements encourage not only teamwork and resilience, but also the spirit of global friendship.

In recognition of our sustained efforts, the school has been conferred with the prestigious International School Award now known as RIDS by The British Council on five occasions—a glowing testament to our enduring commitment to global education and collaboration. Through these initiatives, our students are nurtured to become empathetic, informed, and globally competent individuals, equipped to face the challenges of an interconnected world.

Further advancing this global perspective is our strong emphasis on the Model United Nations (MUN) programme. Here, students delve into real-world geopolitical issues, engaging in rigorous debate, negotiation, and consensus-building. Through MUN, our students refine their public speaking, analytical thinking, and diplomatic skills, gaining a deeper appreciation for international relations and cross-cultural dialogue.

Participation in MUN empowers our learners to emerge as astute, articulate, and socially responsible global citizens—individuals who are not only aware of global challenges, but who are also inspired to become part of the solution.
