School’s Alumni Partnership Program

As part of the school Alumni Partnership Programme, Mr. Kushagra (an alumnus of the 2020-2021 batch) and his colleague, Mr. Harshit, conducted a thought-provoking and illuminating session on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), with a particular focus on its efficiency in swiftly resolving disputes. The speakers expertly highlighted mediation and negotiation as core components of ADR, while exploring ways in which students could incorporate these valuable principles into their daily classroom interactions, fostering a proactive approach to conflict resolution.
Drawing upon the rich historical wisdom of the Mahabharata, the speakers underscored the importance of Lord Krishna’s intervention through mediation to prevent the devastating war of Kurukshetra. This powerful example served to illustrate the deep-rooted origins of peaceful conflict resolution, highlighting the timeless relevance of ADR in promoting harmony. The session further explored the religious perspectives on dispute resolution, offering insightful examples of how various faiths advocate for peaceful resolutions. Both Mr. Kushagra and Mr. Harshit encouraged the students to perceive ADR not merely as a practical tool, but as a profound value ingrained in cultural and religious teachings that transcend time and tradition.
Smt. Bhawna Puri, the Vice Principal, graciously expressed her gratitude to the speakers for their enlightening contribution to the students’ understanding of mediation and negotiation. Recognising the significant impact of the session on the students’ intellectual and emotional development, she presented them with certificates as a token of the school’s appreciation.
These certificates were not only a symbol of recognition but also embodied the school’s unwavering commitment to fostering and celebrating informative sessions that enhance the students’ knowledge and equip them with essential life skills. The event concluded on a high note, serving as a testament to the enduring connection between the school’s past and present. It emphasised the invaluable role of alumni in shaping the holistic development of the school community and in nurturing the students’ growth beyond the classroom.
